Een matte bijna zachte structuur, maar krachtig in een cilindrische vorm. Uitgesproken en herkenbaar, maar tegelijk neutraal en veelzijdig. Met R16 proberen we de unieke eigenschappen van dit materiaal ten volste te benutten, terwijl de oorsprong op een vanzelfsprekende manier herkenbaar blijft in het eindproduct. De integriteit van het karton intact, haar potentieel ten volste benut, zonder afval.

Cardboard tubing is a strangely underrated material. Soft to the touch yet structurally strong. Distinct and outspoken, yet neutral in tone and form. R16 was designed as an homage to this beautiful and versatile material. By applying laser cuts to a cardboard tube, the integrity of form and material is preserved, yet its' potential is fully applied; It is both packing material and elegant luminary - R16; open, straightforward, efficient… and without waste. Available in natural or matte black.

Alle onderdelen worden in de kartonnen verzendkoker verpakt en door de voorgesneden delen uit te drukken verandert de koker in een minimalistische design hanglamp, duurzaam en zonder afval

Recast Lights zijn het resultaat de evoluerende esthetiek van een productiecyclus waarbij afval terugvloeit in het productieproces. Alle afvalstukken uit het proces worden in de volgende serie toegevoegd in het materiaal, resulterend in unieke patronen in iedere handgemaakte lamp.
Recast Lights are the result of evolving aesthetics of no-waste production cycles. All offcuts are reinserted into the manufacturing process, defining character and unique texture of every single hand made piece.

Each of the of terrazzo reminiscent patterns shows the colour and structure of previous pieces, embodying the production history of the product.
